Leia is a 14-year-old pug who lives with her mom Niki Geroni-Lajoie in Toronto, Canada.

Slippery Floors And Dogs Do Not Mix
Because of her age, Leia isn't as sturdy and agile as she used to be, and unfortunately, when the carpets in her home were replaced with wood flooring, the adorable pug had a hard time making her way around. With next to no traction, Leia was slipping and sliding everywhere she went, which was a big concern for Niki: "I was worried she was going to sprain something, being so old and wobbly already."

Luckily, the solution Leia needed turned out to be a lot simpler and more adorable than anyone, including her mom, could have ever expected: socks. According to Niki, everything about her furry friend changes when she is in her socks!

Even though she's considered a senior and has a smooshy face covered in white fur, Leia is still full of life. "She's feisty and goofy and loves attention more than any other dog I've ever known. She'd giver her kingdom for a head pat, that's for sure."
